Its the details that make a newborn session, and when it comes to capturing the essence of your little one I choose to do so by letting them do their thing. My preference is to keep your little ones where they want to be which is in your arms or nice and cozy...

Not the typical consensus but I consider a newborn anyone under 6 months old

My typical sessions are either In Home/Nursery or out in Nature with Mom & Dad (& siblings)

I steer away from costumes and overly posed photos but I do have some favorite props which include:

Moses basket - a woven basket with a cozy insert

Rocking chair - I've been know to lugg this thing out into nature, & am happy to bring to any session

Milk bath - Milk bath sessions are offered as usual sessions with the requirement your baby has lost their umbilical cord & is ready for regular bathing.

Most little ones love the warm water and its a great way to capture all their expressions while they are nice and comfy.

I will always bring my personal selection of cute wraps & cozy knits to choose from but urge clients to bring their own especially if theres sentimental heirlooms such as something passed down or made by a love one.

Newborns want to be in your arms so I urge parents to get in the photos and allow me to capture all of the sweet snuggles feeding & love between your family.
